Located in beautiful Gibbston Valley, our cellar door and tasting room is in the historic Wangaloa Presbyterian Church which was built back in 1894 for 240 pounds, deconsecrated as a church in the 1950s, and became a local community hall and library. It was relocated to Waitiri Creek in 2000 on one large truck, a journey of 300km which took 24hours. It navigated the winding road known as ‘The Devil’s Staircase’ without falling into Lake Whakatipu, as feared.

We are the official cellar door for 4 local wineries; Bald Hills, Prophet’s Rock, Domaine Rewa, and Quartz Reef in addition to having our expertly crafted Cargo Brewery beers on offer.
